Soccer games and symphonies
A perfect day. Soccer in the morning. Good friends and laughter all around. Then, warring against the summer heat, a water fight. Four water hoses, plenty of water bottles, mock indignation, and thinly veiled pleasure.
An evening at the Meyerson with the Dallas Symphony provides an idealistic end. I sit back, surrounded by friends and a host of pleasant thoughts, Tchaikovsky, Bach, and other composers lending the perfect accompaniment. Ahh.

That does sound pretty awesome. I keep meaning to go hear the DSO some time when I'm down at LETU. I really want to hear the organ in the Meyerson too, I'm told it's quite good.
Yes it is HOE, Melby!
And yes, I'm spoiled. I've grown up going to the DSO at the Meyerson. I remember my first time there. I was about seven. I remember sitting on those velvet seats, my legs stretched out in front of me, and looking up ... and up ... and up ... until I finally saw the ceiling. (Things are much bigger when you're seven)
I am envious...
for it is hot here
and a waterfight sounds delicious
I just realized... I'm the only person on CC's blog links that isn't linked by name... I'm "Unmutual Kumquat"... hahahaha. Ok, so... Unmutual is definately going on my next floor shirt. ;-)
yeah, I thought about that when I was doing the name thing. "Unmutual Kumquat" just fits you so much better though. : )
LOL Karen, that would be awesome to have unmutual on your floor shirt.
I know what number is going on the back of my next 41 shirt. :D
HAHAHA. Those upperclassmen. Indoctrination, that's what it is!
If it's any consolation, you had me convinced... of course my mind was pre-set beforehand, so it probably didn't take much. Okay, it didn't take anything at all.
Forget culture, let's get some Thousand Foot Crutch in here. =P
Spreeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Oh no Karen! Not you too!!!
Resist the drugged-up sun worship!
haha, whatever. I'm flying to Dallas to see them in concert ;-)
Anyway, my mom always called me a hippie chick. (disclamer: No, I don't do drugs. Not that kind of hippie-ness. The barefoot, weird clothes, singing all the random time kind... or something)
Hah, hippie chick, I'll have to remember that.
When are you seeing the Spree? Dave has seen them twice without me. I think both times I chose symphony over Spree, but no more. Is it this summer or this fall?
July 1st. I think quite a few people are going. It should be fun. Muahahahahaha. And... you said Dave. Haha. I mean, of course I call him that, but it's weird to hear another 41er call him that. Ha.

Haha... it's like a message board. Blogs are fun. Keeping in touch with people over the summer is fun. The Spree is fun. The sun is fun. My pool is fun. POOOOOOOOOL! ::splash::
Wow, somebody's happy. :D
Michaela is kinda lost with this whole commenting idea... she just can't edit them, whatever is she going to do with herself...
::runs and hides::
Just try and take my spree from me Mikki, just try it. You'll be sorry. You'll be sorry. Ha. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I wish I had a job...
Apparently, in Courtney's absence, her blog has been usurped by her friends.
Yay us!
Actually I'm just bored. :|
